Kevin grew up in the Kalamazoo area, graduating from Monsignor John R. Hackett and then the Nursing Program at KVCC in 1977. He then began a life long career at Bronson Hospital, retiring in 2019. During his 40 years with Bronson, Kevin worked in several departments of the hospital PICU, NICU, and then what he felt was his most contributing role as an RN First Assistant. Kevin was an avid sportsman embracing nature and the love of the outdoors. From beekeeping, to hunting and fishing, Kevin enthusiastically enjoyed all aspects of being outside. His love for the outdoors drew Kevin and his wife, Susan, to Northern Michigan where they retired in 2020. In retirement, Kevin continued an active lifestyle including hunting, bicycling, and any other ways he could enjoy being outside. Proceeding Kevin in passing are his parents, Michael and Jacqueline, and his two brothers, Michael (2022) and Dennis (2018). Surviving Kevin is his wife, Sue, of Elk Rapids, and their children, Daniel (Jenny), Molly, Mason (Zoe), and Hannah, along with his brother, Pat. Kevin also has three grandchildren, Juliette, Genevieve, and Rowyn, along with a number of nieces and nephews. Kevin always had a grin and a twinkle in his eye. He truly loved his children and grandchildren with all of his heart and was rewarded with their love and warmth in his life. There are no formal services and the family is requesting that any memorials be made to the Alzheimer Foundation.
