Remington, Kenneth 8/3/1946 - 11/9/2021 Bloomingdale Kenneth J. Remington passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Ken was born August 3, 1946 in Allegan, son of the late Royal and Erma Remington and had lived his entire life in the Bloomingdale area. Ken honorably served his country as a member of the US Navy, serving two tours in Vietnam. He loved to spend time at his Buck Brothers Camp cabin in the Upper Peninsula hunting and fishing. Ken owned and operated Remington Timber where he started his career at the age of 12. Ken also enjoyed buying and driving old cars, but never selling them! His love of cars led to him hosting his own annual car shows. Ken was a very strong and caring man and more than anything, Ken loved being around people. Surviving is his wife of 55 years Dee; 3 children, Elizabeth (Manuel "Bo") Bohannon, Jill (Rick) Martinez, Scott Remington; 8 grandchildren, Holly, Kenny, Andrew, Chelsea, Brooke, Kallie, Lukas, Maci; a great granddaughter, Kaleya; a brother Ron (Carolyn) Remington. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Remington and dear friend, Frank Brady. The family invites friends to line up on Saturday, November 13th, 10:30AM at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home to proceed to Tucker Cemetery for a graveside service. All are invited to join the family for a celebration of life luncheon at the Bloomingdale Christian Church immediately following the graveside service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Van Buren Youth Camp. Arrangements entrusted to the Bloomingdale Chapel, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com.
