Keith Arntz

ARNTZ - Keith Arntz, 79, of Irons, passed away April 15, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, April 2, 1931, to Leland and Bertha Arntz. Keith served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict, receiving two Purple Hearts. Keith retired from The Grand Rapids Press after 31 years of service. He was a member of the Irons Union Church, and the American Legion, Post 10, of Manistee. Keith loved traveling, camping, and in his younger years, hunting and fishing. His main passion was cutting and splitting wood for his woodstove. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Arlene Arntz; daughter, Susan (Joseph) Shea of Florida; son, Michael Arntz of Bailey, Michigan; daughter, Sandra Arntz of DeKalb, Illinois; three grandchildren, Candice Ramsey, Lee Arntz, and Marty Arntz; brother, Leland (Yvonne) Arntz; sister, Ruth Tebeau; brothers, Paul (Janet) Arntz, Glenn (Pat) Arntz, Bruce Arntz, Dan Arntz; and brother-in-law, James (Patricia) Lindberry. A memorial service to be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2010, at the Irons Union Church, with a luncheon following.
