Kay A. (nee Triestram) Shearer, age 71, of Portage, MI passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her residence surrounded by family. Kay was born on April 11, 1945 in Kalamazoo, MI. She earned her Associates Degree from Western Michigan University. Kay married Paul R. Shearer on July 10, 1970 in Kalamazoo, MI. Kay was an Administrative Assistant for Western Michigan University. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul R. Shearer, parents Roy and Edith (Summerville) Triestram, and brother Larry R Triestram. Surviving are: son, Jason (Amy Borowski) Shearer of Portage, MI; daughter, Susan K (Michael) Feare of Portage, MI; grandchildren, Paul, Emily and Jacob Shearer and Mikayla Feare of Portage, MI; brothers, Richard L (Judy Dykema) Triestram of Terra Haulte, IN and Donn Triestram of Grand Rapids, MI and their families. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel.
