Kathryne Miller

Kathryne E. Miller, age 87, of Bangor, MI passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Kathryne was born September 3, 1929 in Constantine, MI, the daughter of Jim and Berneice Barnhart and had lived in the Bangor area since 1980. Kathryne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She and her husband, Duane, provided the perfect picture of what a happily married couple should be and were wonderful role models for everyone. She loved her garden, hummingbirds, and reading. Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Duane; 4 children, Debbie (Paul) Woodward of Jasper, GA, Kurt (Debbie) Miller of Algonquin, IL, Marianne (Jim) Sipka of Lawrence, MI, Janice Whitney of Constantine, MI; 11 grandchildren, Morgan, Ed, Michael, Joe, Jeff, Andi, Casey, Katie, Matt, Logan, Charlie; 1 great-grandson, Gabriel. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ruthie McFall; and a brother, Jim Barnhart. The family will meet friends on Sunday from 4 - 7 PM at the BLOOMINGDALE CHAPEL, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 PM. Internment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bloomingdale Branch of the Van Buren District Library.
