Kathryn Wittkowski, age 102, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Brookdale in Kenosha. Kathryn was born in Franklin, Kansas, November 22, 1913, daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Nee: Shermer) Parr.

She was united in marriage to Harold L. Wittkowski who preceded her in death in 1958. Kathryn was employed by Western Publishing for several years in the early 1940’s. An excellent seamstress and avid reader, Kathryn’s true passion and joy evolved around the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Charles (Sheila) Wittkowski, Donald (Pam) Wittkowski, Susan (Larry) Brouwers, Linda Kaprelian (Robert Barber); her grandchildren, Ben Wittkowski, John Wittkowski, Paul Pankoff, Cynthia (Steve) Wicklund, Shane Kaprelian; her great-grandchildren, Lauren Wittkowski, Alyssa Pankoff, Katie Pankoff, Zak, Cole and Brody Wicklund; sister, Mae Verborg; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Wittkowski; her son, Richard Wittkowski; grandson, Joseph Wittkowski; and four brothers, Albert, Thomas, Johnnie, and Joseph.

A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Ron Gramza officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Tuesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.

Private interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Avenue.
