Katherine M. Schaffer (Detmers) age 66, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday September 21, 2015. Kathy is survived by her daughter Tracy (Bill) Seppla; grandchildren Samantha and Taylor; her siblings Karen (Robert) Greenbauer, Michael (Josie) Detmers, Kristine Detmers, Kolleen (Richard) Frazine, Stephen (Terri) Detmers, Karel (Tom)Monroe. Kathy proudly served her country in the Navy Reserves. A service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, Alt & Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with her family at the chapel on Thursday September 24, from 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
