Karl L. Schipper, age 55, of Zeeland, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at his home.
Karl attended Ridge Point Community Church. He worked at the family business, Schipper Poultry, for most of his life. He was a member of the Fennville Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed shooting and outdoor sports. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Schipper.
Karl will be remembered for his compassionate heart, great sense of humor, his love for his family and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joan; and children, Matt and Jennifer Holmes of Holland, Heather and Brad Siegers of Holland, Ross and Amanda Schipper of Holland; seven grandchildren; parents, Wayne and Connie Schipper of Holland, Betty Green of Holland; brothers and sisters, Connie and Bruce Wyckoff of Zeeland, Tim and Barb Schipper of Holland, Cal and Laurie Schipper of Holland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sheryl and Patrick Kiley of IL, Ray and Sandi Simmons of Hudsonville, Carol Simmons of Holland, Randy and Cathy Potter of PA; many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 4, 2012, from 2-5 p.m. at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, in Holland. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012, at Ridge Point Community Church, 340 104th Avenue in Holland. Reverends Jim Liske and Toran Scott will be officiating.
