Karen Boyd

Karen J. Boyd, age 76, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Karen was born in Kalamazoo on March 7, 1940 to the late Peter and Anna (Agema) Smit. She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Tony) Lamson, Laurrie Phillips and Charles Boyd; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn (David) Householder, Roger Smit, Phyllis (Richard) Ciganek, Beth (Brian) Doxtator and Cynthia (Steve) Gero and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Kenneth Boyd and brother, Robert Smit. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society , c/o of the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
