Julia Orosz

Age 95, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019, with her loving family at her side at Story Point Assisted Living in Portage, Michigan. Julia was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on September 16, 1924, the daughter if Valentine Orosz and Julia Nemeth. Julia was an indomitable spirit, living through the Great Depression and World War II. She had great faith in the Lord and accepting any situation that came her way. Although she had no children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews to pieces and was lovingly referred to as Aunt Jay. She was employed by Protection Products for 45 years and retired from Target Stores at the age of 78. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Gus Orosz, Valentine Orosz, George Orosz and Joseph Orosz, as well as her sister, Mary Shorter. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sisters, Erma Draper and Betty Richards of Portage, Michigan, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. for a time of visitation, immediately followed by a funeral service, beginning at 3 p.m., with Pastor James Dyke officiating. She will be laid to rest during a private graveside committal ceremony at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo.
