Bogema, Judy A. 2/9/1947 - 3/3/2023 Kalamazoo, MI Judy Ann Bogema passed away peacefully at her home on March 3, 2023. She was born February 9, 1947, in Kalamazoo MI the only child of the late Walter William Clark Archdeacon and Margaret Ruth (Schooley) Archdeacon and had been a lifelong area resident. Judy lived her whole life in the Westwood area of Kalamazoo. She was always on the go. She ran her own daycare, taking care of two to three children at a time through the years. Judy happily volunteered to be a team mother for Little League, served as a Cub Scout den mother, a Girl Scout cookie chairperson, and a Westwood Elementary playground supervisor. She attended Westwood United Methodist Church. Family was everything to Judy. She enjoyed attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting events and school activities. Holidays were special for Judy, and she looked forward to them each year. She had cookie baking days with the grandkids and made special ornaments and crafts at Christmas for friends and family. She loved having everyone together for the holidays. In her spare time Judy enjoyed arts and crafts, cross stitching, and going to the mall to shop. She never passed on anything chocolate, loved Pepsi, talking to her friends on the phone and babying her black Cocker Spaniel. In the summer, she even made time to spend weekends with the family and friends at Baseline Lake. On February 27, 1988, Judy married Jack Bogema. Their joined family made for more fun for Judy. Judy is survived by her husband, Jack, of 35 years; their children, Michael (Paula) Andrysiak, Lisa Ann (Vern) Nelson, Jason Jon Andrysiak, Julia Renee (Tommy Seigler) Stinson, and Beth Ann (Steven) Trice; grandchildren, Zachary, Kevin, Jakob, Brandan, Tabatha, Mark, and Evalicia; great-grandson, Lee; and longtime friends, Jane, and Fredda (the sisters she never had).
