Joyce Obreiter

OBREITER, JOYCE ANNETTE Joyce Annette Obreiter, age 97 of Kalamazoo, Michigan went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 29, 2021. She was the daughter of Clair I. Brown and Sarah Louise Brown (Strong) born on October 1, 1924. Joyce married William (Bill) J. Obreiter on April 16, 1943. They had two sons: Roy C. Obreiter and Carl W. Obreiter. She was preceded in death by her husband and son Carl, her parents, her sisters, Ruth Early, Esther Confer, Jessie Bartholomew (twin), and brother, Robert Brown. Joyce is survived by her son, Roy (Yvonne) Obreiter, sister-in-law Melba Brown, Carl's wife, Dawn Obreiter, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a beloved niece, Candy Confer, plus many nieces and nephews. She graduated from U High and Parsons Business School. She was a homemaker and Secretary. Joyce loved her Lord, enjoyed reading His word, loved her family and friends, and liked playing golf. Her family was the delight of her life. Thornapple Manor was her home the past 4 years. The staff treated her as family and they became her friends. Her family wishes to extend sincere thanks for her exceptional care.
