Joyce Lancaster

Lancaster, Joyce E. Kalamazoo Joyce Elaine Lancaster entered heaven, now enjoying her God's presence and her family that have gone before her, on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the age of 91. Joyce graduated from Plainwell High School. She was very active in her church as a Sunday School Superintendent, assisting with mother and daughter banquets, children's Christmas musicals, and was a chairperson of women's ministry. Joyce loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed visiting with them. She also loved traveling to Florida to visit her life-long best friend. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Lancaster; a baby Lancaster; son, Terry Lancaster; sons-in-law Lee Short and Ken Snyder; sister, Nancy Borton, and brother, Marvin Taft. She is survived by her daughters: Karen Short of Plainwell and Cindy Snyder of Kalamazoo; grandchildren: Todd, Amy, Jason, Caleb, Anna, Justin, Luke, and Beth; 15 great-grandchildren and sister, Mary Ellen Gerloch. The family is having a private memorial gathering to honor Joyce and arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in honor of Joyce to GraceSpring Bible Church in Richland, Michigan.
