Joyce Elayne (Valette) Caldwell, 76, passed away on January 19, 2024 in Crystal River, FL. Joyce was born Jan 9, 1948 in Kalamazoo, MI to Andrew Valette and Dorothy (Clark) Valette. She graduated from Vicksburg High School in 1966.
On July 15, 1967 she was married to Sidney Caldwell. They had one daughter, Kelly (Caldwell) Crist, who survives. Also surviving are her grandchildren Tonya, Alex, and Sean; siblings Paul, George, Martha, Denise, and Clark, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sidney Caldwell, son-in-law Brad Crist, and sister Lisa Berry.
She had enjoyed singing, handbell ringing, organ playing, bowling, and archiving.
A memorial service will be held Feb 24 at Red Level Baptist Church. A separate service will be held in Kalamazoo, MI at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation in Joyce's memory.
