Joseph L. Milan "On The Go Joe" of Richland, MI, an avid sports enthusiast and a selfless, caring person who loved people passed away from his battle with ALS at the age of 80 on Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at home with his wife of 56 years, Dorris "Downey" Milan by his side. Joe was born on February 19th, 1943 the eldest son of Patrick and Florence (Ouding) Milan. His siblings are Frances, Rose. Liz, Patrick, Michael, and Ben. Joe and Dorris raised 2 sons, Jeff and Jason and a daughter Erin and they have 3 grandchildren, Marcus Allen, Alex Milan and Andrew Milan.

After graduating from Loy Norrix H.S (1961) Joe joined the Air force and served from 1961-1965. He then returned to Kalamazoo where he was hired as a millwright for the General Motors company where he would eventually retire after 35 years. Joe had many hobbies that he excelled in including traveling, hunting, bowling, coaching youth sports, ping pong, Rummikub,card games, bocce ball, and golf, where he was able to sink 7 hole-in-ones for his career.

A celebration of life will be held at The Dock at Bayview on October 21st from 1-4pm.
