Joseph S. Franzone, Jr., age 61, of Wichita, KS went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Joe was born on June 27, 1955 to Arlene Cox and Joseph Franzone, Sr. He was an outstanding athlete at Mattawan High School. He served our country in the Army for two years, stationed in Germany. Joe enjoyed playing fast pitch softball in Kalamazoo for: Jack Short Photography, Murco's, and Pearson's Marathon Service. Joe moved to Texas in 2001 to seek better opportunities. He joined the Schwan Team as a driver and was promoted to Division Manager in 2011 and transferred to Wichita, KS. Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Cox. He is survived by his wife, Linda Franzone; father and step-mother, Joseph and Janeen Franzone; daughters, Maria Peterson, spouse, Steve; Erin Leonard, spouse, Bruce; adopted daughter, Harley Franzone; grandchildren: Brody, Ben, Kareena, Kal-El and Knox; siblings: Susan, Gino, Mike, Nick, Gina and Carrie; aunt, MaryAnn Woodard; cousins, Tom Woodard and April Woodard; along with other nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at Corner Bible Church, 117 N. Maple St. Fennville, MI 49408 on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 2-5 PM. Officiating is Pastor Chip Nightingale. Joe enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved riding his Harley, telling old stories, visiting with family and friends and making everyone laugh. His laughter will live on in our hearts.
