John Munn

John Munn, of Vicksburg, MI passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at the age of 70. John was born on November 20, 1946 in Vicksburg. He was the son of Clifford and Nora (Skinner) Munn. John graduated from Vicksburg HS in 1965 and excelled in football during his high school years. He served in the United States Navy where he enjoyed boxing. He was even on the Apollo mission to retrieve the capsule from the ocean! John married the love of his life, Virginia Caswell, on February 22, 1991. He worked for Fox River Paper Mill doing maintenance and for Pfizer. John had a farm that’s been in the family since the 1800’s with many horses; he deeply loved his animals.

John is survived by his stepson Bruce (Peggy) Verwey; grandchildren Bradley Verwey, Brandon Verwey, and Jennifer; siblings Mary (Doug) Woodhams, Dave, and Julie Middaugh. He is preceded in death by his wife of 22 years Virginia; his stepdaughter Andrea Loucks; his brother Tom; and his parents.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 18th at 2pm at the Vicksburg United Methodist Church.
