Upon returning home, John pursued a career spanning packaging, the dairy and pharmaceutical industries and ultimately starting his own private business in 1995, Galesburg Auto. John designed and built three family homes in Greenville South Carolina, New Hudson Michigan and Richland Michigan. John's hobbies included photography, waterskiing, woodworking, all sorts of engineering projects, playing tennis and most of all visiting with his family and friends. The family would like to thank the amazing medical staff at Bronson Methodist Hospital who provided exceptional care during a difficult time and the compassionate, caring staff at Rose Arbor Hospice, who did so much to make John comfortable and to honor his wishes. According to John's wishes, a Celebration of Life Open House will be held for family and friends to gather and reminisce at the Kellogg Hall at the Sherman Lake YMCA on Sunday May 15, from 1-4pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations in John's memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
