Jim Jager Sr.

JAGER, SR., JIM Jim Jager, Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gertrude Jager, his brother William Jager and his son John Jager. He will be lovingly missed by the love of his life and wife of 60 years, Barb; his children, Diane and Mike Hysell, Jim Jager Jr. and fiancee Lisa Valk, and Tom and Vikki Jager; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; sister, Joyce and Jack Dewey and brother, Dave and Jan Jager, and many nieces and nephews. Jim was a family man who honored God and loved his family, setting a great example for all. One of his favorite things was taking his great grandchildren places, especially to Frog Hollow Park. He graduated from Wayland High School, served in the National Guard for seven years and worked at Checker Motors, Brunswick, Wolverine Feed and General Motors. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 27, at Rush Creek Bible Church, 2334 76th St. SW., with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. Gary Leyendecker and Rev. Gene Pearson will be officiating. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to Rush Creek Bible Church or Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
