Jennifer Rose, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was born in Ludington, MI, on November 11, 1957, the 3rd of 3 children of the late James and Barbara (Nee: Dove) Betka.

Jennifer graduated from Ludington High School “Class of 1975” and furthered her education graduating from Nursing School at West Shore Community College. She later became certified as a Shiatsu practitioner through the Ohashiatsu Institute Chicago & New York. Jennifer received a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Summa Cum Laude) and an Advanced Certification in Acupuncture from Guangzhou University, China through externship studies. Jennifer served on the faculty at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine Chicago/Racine for 17 years as a professor, (Lovingly known as J. Rose), clinical director, curriculum developer, and administrator for the Racine Community Clinic. She owned and operated Rosanthorn Herbs and Acupuncture in Racine. She was deeply committed and involved in the community through a multitude of groups and organizations. Jennifer’s passion was to provide health, healing, and wholeness to those around her. She will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, and willingness to serve all of humanity and creation. She celebrated and lived life in a manner that brought joy and hope to all.

Above all, her deepest love was her partner, Ri', her children, and her grandchildren. She lived in unconditional devotion to her family.

Surviving are her partner, Ri’ Witer; 3 daughters, Katherine Glover and husband Ryan Batch, Rebecca Dwyre, Jacqueline Glover and husband Brian Roddy; 3 grandchildren, Logan, Brayden, and Lila; sister, Mary Betka; brother, Barney (Chris) Betka; her 3-legged companion, Yori Kenzo Finnegan Groot VanGogh; many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

A special thank you to all those who loved and appreciated Jennifer. For all the prayers, kind thoughts, and support we will always be grateful. The lesson we learned most from Jennifer was to live a life of gratitude.
