Jeffrey Jacob Elzinga

A resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1988, formerly of Portage, MI passed away suddenly and unexpected Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his residence in Fort Myers, FL. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 1, 1965. Jeff was a big part of his family greenhouse business and also managed the farm market. Jeff later joined the Morisey-Dart Group where he worked for the last five years as a recruiter. Jeff was a passionate music lover and avid local music supporter. He was a talented drummer and shared this love for music by DJing for hundreds of weddings. Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Stephanie Elzinga of Fort Myers, FL; three step-children, Amanda Soisson (Nick) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Donovan Plummer (Stephanie) of Fort Myers, FL and Abigail Plummer of Fort Myers, FL; his father, Jake Elzinga of Portage, MI; two brothers, Mark Elzinga of Punta Gorda, FL and Dan Elzinga (Shelli) of Portage, MI; one niece, Amanda Perrin (Coty) of Portage, MI; as well as many extended family members and friends. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Elzinga. A Memorial Service will be held privately at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
