Jeanine Joy Schoening, age 83, passed away Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at Froedtert South, Pleasant Prairie. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, October 7th, 1940, daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Nee: Gould) Wilson.

Jeanine graduated from St. Catherine's High School, “Class of 58”. She went on to earn her Barbering License and worked at Community Roffler Stylists for over 15 years. She then went back to school to earn her nursing degree and was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center until 2003, when she decided to then go on to earn an Associate degree in Missions.

Jeanine had a deep love for Jesus and ministering to others. She had been a part of the Missionary “Go Team” in Pensacola, FL traveling to Ghana, Africa. Jeanine will be remembered for her fun loving personality, Bible stories, artwork and beautiful prayers. Above all she was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, Diana Lasso, Allen (Jackie) Schoening, Nicole Barra; grandchildren, Zachary (Stephanie), Chad (Alyssa), Sara, Olivia, Sophia, Bennett, Maria; great grandchildren, Beau, Whit; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lois Spika and Pat (Roger) Horton.

A celebration of life will be held at Racine Assembly of God, 1325 Airline Rd, Saturday April 13th, 2024, 4pm with Rev. Chuck Wasik officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service from 3-4pm.

The family wishes to thank Chuck and Linda Wasik, Jenny Sommers, Pam Smith, Kathy Schreiner, Darlene Schreiber, the staff at Brookside Care Center and Dr. Lozeva at Ascension's Spring St. Campus.
