Obituary
Jean Eleanor Baker, 94, of Allegan, MI passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Briarwood Assisted Living. Born August 10, 1925 in Trowbridge Township, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Curtiss) Siebert and was the widow of Merritt Boysen and Russell Baker. Mrs. Baker graduated from Allegan High School in 1942. She was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She loved to spend time outside tending to her beautiful flower gardens but her greatest joy came from the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baker is survived by her daughters, Lois (Brian) VanderWeide and Janis Richards; daughter-in-law, Cathy Boysen; stepdaughters, Patricia (Gene) Furst, Mary Baker and Sharon (Robert) Goodrich; ten grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Boysen; her sister, Shirley Oisten; and her brother, David Siebert. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at Blackman Cemetery in the Spring.
