Jannetje "Janny" Koolhaus

Jannetje “Janny” Lena Koolhaas ( Hoogen­dam), age 97, of Zeeland, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at Hospice House of Holland.

Janny was born on Sep­tember 27, 1913, in Voor­burg, The Netherlands. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and was a long-time resident of Redlands, California, and Hemet, California. Janny was a member of Bethany Reformed Church in Red­lands. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolf Johannes Koolhaas, in 2000.

Her family includes her children, Lenie and Chuck Bosman of Califor­nia, Case and Janet Kool­haas of Georgia, Jeanette Beagley- Koolhaas and Alan Beagley of Zeeland; six grandchildren, Linda and Bob Card, Helen and Troy Ulmer, Chuck and Sarah Bosman, Janelle Koolhaas and Angel Lo­pez Dominguez, Marianne and Ben Petty, Jonathan Beagley; 10 great- grand­children, Corinne, Lauren, Elizabeth, Nathan, Char­lie, Colson, Caleb, Miriam, Lorena and Amber; many nieces and nephews in The Netherlands A private family service was held, and burial has taken place in Hillside Me­morial Cemetery, Redlands, California.
