Petersen, Jane Ellen 5/30/1943 - 3/18/2020 Kalamazoo. Michigan The earthly pilgrimage for Jane Ellen Petersen began in Springfield, Massachusetts on May 30th, 1943. Following a stroke, she was admitted to Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan where she remained in a Coma for 6 days. On March 18th, 2020, Jane Ellens earthly journey ended. She was 76 years old at the time of her passing. Jane was married to John Carl Petersen for 54 years at the time of her passing. As well as her loving Husband, Jane Leaves behind her two beloved sons, Andrew John and Matthew Carl, Granddaughter Julia Merica and Andrews Wife Amy Barcus. Also surviving are her Brothers and Sisters: Wendy Lockard, Davie, Florida Matthew Bassett, Naples, Maine Laurie Barker, San Antonio, Texas Jonathan Bassett, San Antonio, Texas There are Scores of Nieces and Nephews and Friends that she loved as well. She is preceded by her Brother, George Bassett Jr; her Mother; Loretta and her Father; George Sr. Once the Travel restrictions for COVID19 are relaxed, the family is planning a Mass of the Resurrection to be held at St. Monica Catholic Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Following the mass, a Gathering of Remembrance will be held in the Church Hall at St Monicas.
