James L. Holton, age 84, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away September 6, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. He was born November 10, 1931 in Kalamazoo MI the son of Paul and Zita (Haas) Holton. He retired from Flowserve as a machinist and was a member of St Monica Catholic Church. Jim's hobbies were antiquing, following Hackett Catholic Prep sports, and volunteering for the Shepherd Center. He was preceded in death by his wife Sam; siblings, Robert, Fran, Ruth, Pauline, Louise, and Phyllis. Surviving is his sister Modesta DeKam; son, James Holton (Kim Saidla) of Sherwood; 3 daughters, Patricia Holton (Jim McKinney) of Kalamazoo, Paula Holton (Gilbert Cote) of Houston, TX, Theresa Holton of Golden, CO; And step-son, Richard (Jamie) White of Portage; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held 10:30 am Friday September 9, 2016 at St. Monica Catholic Church. Private family interment will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, the Sheperd Center, and Hackett Catholic Prep.
