Age 89, died February 26, 2017. Jackie was born January 22, 1928 in Kalamazoo. Jackie was an avid reader, and she loved her old movies and bingo. Jackie grew up in Kalamazoo. Jackie is survived by her three children, Jackie (Jim) Martin of Battle Creek, Wesley (Laila) Councell, Jr. of Kalamazoo and Mary (Tim) Goomas of Madison, WI; and two grandchildren, Derrick and Jeremy Councell; many nieces and nephews. Jackie is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, and brother, Woodrow (Peckham). Cremation has taken place and a graveside service to celebrate her life will be 12:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery in Kalamazoo.
