Jaclyn Ann MacDonough died peacefully December 20, 2021 at her home. She was born December 6, 1935, in Charlevoix, Michigan, daughter of the late Theodore and Ethel (Powers) Cooper. From growing up near Lake Michigan and graduating from Charlevoix High School in 1953, Jackie maintained a lifelong love of this Great Lake, especially when the winds blew and the waves were rough. Jackie went on to attend nursing school at Henry Ford Hospital and began her long career as an R.N. culminating with 34 years of service at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, retiring in 1993. On September 8, 1956, Jackie married William (Bill) MacDonough who preceded her in death on March 3, 2005. Jackie is survived by her children, Edward (Terri) MacDonough, Katherine (Stuart) Marlow, Laura MacDonough, and Janice (John) Spyker; and grandchildren, Kenny and Lisa MacDonough, Andrea Sniadowski, and Kevin Marlow and two great-grandchildren. Jackie was a long-time member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Ministry with Community. She enjoyed movies, trips to Chicago, cooking, quilting, reading, puzzles and bird and squirrel watching. Private entombment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. Arrangements entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St, Kalamazoo MI 49007.
