Jack Lee DeVries, Jr., age 52, of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on Saturday November 19, 2016. Jack was born in Kalamazoo on October 2, 1964, to Jack DeVries, Sr. and Linda Matyas DeVries. He later moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where he met his wife, Josiane. He was self-employed as a painting contractor. Jack was preceded in death by his mother Linda Matyas DeVries, and grandparents Andrew and Gertrude DeVries, Steve and Helen Matyas, and Edward and Isabel Goebel. Jack is survived by his wife Josiane, daughter Victoria, stepson Gustavo Rocha; his parents Jack and Ann DeVries; his brothers Todd and Brad DeVries; step-siblings Diana and Garry Walton, Mark and Glenda Dixon, Todd Dixon; Uncle and Aunt Ronald and Pearl DeVries, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held in Florida. A second memorial service will be held in the spring in Michigan where his ashes will be interred next to his mother at Mt.
