Isabelle Sheppard, age 99, of Portage, MI passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017. Isabelle was born in Kalamazoo on October 14, 1917 and raised by her grandparents. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Beeke; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jess W. Heacock, Jr.; her second husband, Paul Sheppard; sons, Jess III, Tom, Fred and Joseph Heacock; two grandsons and several siblings. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place and no service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, c/o the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home.
