Helen Tyler

Tyler, Helen I. Kalamazoo Passed away Wednesday morning, November 16, 2016 at her home. Helen was born September 11, 1923 in Hartford, MI the daughter of the late William and Callie (Wilson) Briggs. She was a member and served as president of the Women's Auxiliary VFW Post 6252, and enjoyed bowling, and doing various crafts. On July 30, 1941 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Louis M. Tyler who preceded her in death on August 21, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her grand-daughter, Jessica; and sisters and brother, Lillian Donovan, Thera Johnson, Bill Briggs. Helen is survived by her children, Janice Terry, Maryln Henderson, Tim Tyler; grandchildren, Dan and Ron Henderson, John (Beth) Henderson, Shannon Tyler; great-grandchildren, Morgan (Zak) O'Dell, Tyler, Keith (Hanna) Henderson, Haydon Tyler; great-great-grandchildren, Max and Amelia O'Dell; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, November 22 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Interment will follow in East Cooper Cemetery. Friends may meet the family Monday evening from 6-8pm and one hour prior to the service at the Comstock Chapel. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
