Helen Snow

Snow, Helen Ruth Helen Ruth Snow of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Kalamazoo passed away May 24, 2021 at the age of 92. Helen was born June 27, 1928 in Comstock to the late John and Ruth (Green) Muir. Helen was a cook for Comstock Public Schools for 20 years before retiring in 1983 and moving to Florida with husband, James. She and James loved to play music together, traveling to many nursing homes and venues down in Florida. Helen had many poems published with Pancakes in Heaven in Wisconsin and newspapers in Florida. She also enjoyed playing cards, trips shopping, and baking and decorating cakes. Helen was united in marriage to James A. Snow, Sr. on December 20, 1980, who preceded her in death in 2017. She was also preceded in death by stepson, James A. Snow, Jr. She is survived by her children, John (Linda) Pelto, David (Phyllis) Pelto, Mardy (Jess) Tinney, Ralph (Carey Johnson) Pelto, and Katie Dinger; stepchildren, Bruce Snow and Robin Chapman; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends Thursday, June 3 from 4-7:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, with limited numbers in the building at a time. A funeral service will take place Friday, June 4 at 11:00am, with time to visit from 10:00am until the time of service, at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 E G Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
