Helen Fox

Helen Louise Fox, age 96, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 14, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born on March 15, 1920 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Edward and Edith Trice. Helen was a very involved member of Trinity Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She loved music and gave piano lessons to countless youth throughout the years. Her love for God motivated her to walk miles and miles throughout the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek communities to share her evangelistic literature. Surviving are two children: Marian (Steve) LaForge of Portage and Joseph (Sylvia Hicks-Fox) Fox of Kalamazoo; four grandchildren: Deborah Jones, Karen McDaniel, Desirae McDaniel and Gabriella Fox; nine great-grandchildren: Nicole, Jamar (Maha), and Devontae Jones, and Donnie Jr., Demetrius (Brooke), Dillon, Daijha, Devinne and Daniel Bradford; four great-great-grandchildren: Arianna, Jada, Sophia and Victoria; sister, Edith Coleman of Indianapolis; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding her in death were her husband, Abraham Lincoln Grant Fox; two sons, Stephen and Lincoln Fox; infant daughter, Ann Marie Fox; and two brothers, Lowell and Edward Trice. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Aug. 18, at Trinity Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1615 E. G Avenue. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
