Helen A. Gregory, age 92, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Helen was born in Racine, February 5, 1923, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Nee: Sevick) Fojtik.

On October 1, 1949 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Harold J. Gregory who preceded her in death, February 2, 1982. In her earlier years Helen was employed at Western Publishing for ten years, Holy Trinity School for twenty years as a cook, lasting working at Club J.J., retiring in 1996. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church.

She will be dearly missed by her children, David (Debbie) Gregory of Franksville, Barbara (Floyd) Benson of Escanaba, MI, Darlene (Charles) Taylor of Racine; grandchildren, Jamie (Dale) Benson, Charlie (Gina) Taylor, Carrie (Jonathan) Rolain, Christina (Frankie) Taylor, Kenny (Jessica) Gregory, Katie (AJ) Pettis, Krista Gregory; great grandchildren, Kayla Mogren, Brett Benson, Gage Hoerning, Jordan Benson, Bryce Spencer, Gaige Rolain, Hailey Rolain, Sophia Garcia, Grant Gregory, Owen Gregory, and Brennan Gregory; sister-in-law Sylvia Gregory of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Johnny (Shelia) Benson; siblings, Annie Checkvala, Mary Perrine, Margaret Fojtik, Edward, John, Joe, and Mike Fojtik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 11, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 3100 95th Street, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the church, 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Memorials to the family have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank you to Helen’s special care giver Mary Becker.
