Harriet Robinson

Robinson, Harriet Harriet Robinson age 91 of Decatur passed away Thurs. Dec. 8, 2016 in White Oaks Assisted Living Lawton. Harriet was born Dec. 30, 1924 in Decatur the daughter of Jerry and Johanna (Vliek) Houtman. She married A.J. Robinson Aug. 31, 1945 in Decatur and he preceded her in death Jan. 6, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a brother Wesley Houtman and a sister Marlene Pendowski. Survivors include a daughter Marcia Collins of Marcellus, 3 sons Lonnie (Cheryl) Robinson of Elkhart, Nate (Lou Ann) Robinson of Cassopolis, Brent (Julie) Robinson of Dowagiac, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Burt (Gloria) Houtman of Decatur, Roger (Ruth) Houtman of Phoenix, AZ. 2 sisters-in-law Opal Houtman of Phoneix, AZ., Mary Lou Robinson of Dowagiac and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kent and Betty Robinson of Burnsville, MN. She was a member of various local clubs and organizations. Funeral services will be held Sun. 2pm Dec. 11, 2016 in the Newell Funeral Home Decatur with Brent Robinson officiating. Friends may call 1 hr. prior to the services. Burial in Crane Cemetery Volina Twp. Memorials may be made to Webster Memorial Library in Decatur.
