Age 73, of Kalamazoo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 14, 2020. Harold was born to John and Corabelle (Bos) Pinkster on February 1, 1947, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was married to Brenda (Vande Polder) Pinkster from 1975 - 1996 and together they had two children (John and Erin). Harold received his undergraduate degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University and was a 5th grade teacher for 26 years at Delton Kellogg Schools. Harold later married Corrie (Mulder) Pinkster in 1999. Together they traveled the globe and hosted many gatherings in their home over a warm cup of coffee. He was an active member of Second Christian Reformed Church, an avid golfer for many years, and loved to praise his Lord with the Singing Crusaders. Harold was a passionate member of the Gideons International spreading the Word of his Savior wherever he could. Unable to pass up a good deal, he enjoyed weekend garage sales, tinkering with small engines and would often peddle his wares on the local radio station or in the front yard. Harold is survived by his son, John (Stephanie) Pinkster; daughter, Erin Lekberg; sister Joan (Don) Dobbin; grandchildren, Julia and Trevor Pinkster; and nieces and nephew, Kristen Senholtz, Mark (Shannon) Senholtz, and Barb (Dan) Montry. He was preceded in death by his parents, second wife, Corrie; son-in-law, Bob Lekberg; and grandson, Collin Pinkster. A service celebrating Harold's life will be held later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International. Please visit Harold's personalized online guestbook at https://www.langelands.com
