Harold Carow

Harold "Al" Carow, age 60, passed away Thursday June 18, 2020 at his home in Kalamazoo, MI. Al was born December 13, 1959 in Kalamazoo, the son of Eldred J. and Anne E. Carow. He was raised in Portage and attended Portage Public Schools for most of his school years. He excelled in playing basketball and graduated from Portage Northern High School. Al brought a fun-loving energy and humor to life and his family. In his adult life he devoted himself to painting, writing and spending time at the library. His creativity was unceasing. He was preceded in death by his parents Eldred and Anne Carow and niece Maureen (Carow) McAtee. Surviving are his siblings James (Christine) Carow, Stephen (Victoria) Carow, David Carow and Elizabeth (Paul) Juozitis; nieces and nephews Shannon (Carow) Schmidt, Brian Carow, Caroline Carow, Anna Carow, Claire Juozitis, John Juozitis. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to InterAct of Michigan for their diligent and loving support of Al over the years. Public Graveside Services will be open to family and friends at 3:00PM on Wednesday, June 24th in Portage South Cemetery.
