Graham, Gordon H. Kalamazoo Age 96, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Borgess Gardens. Gordon was born in Decatur, Michigan, the son of the late Lyle and Edna Graham. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army where he was a 1st Lieutenant and fought in WWII battles in central Europe and New Guinea. On June 23, 2016 he was awarded the Bronze Star and 10 other medals, presented by Colonel Bernie Kramer, U.S. Army Ret. Gordon worked for Gilmore's Department Store in the Visual Merchandising department where he retired after 20 years of employment. He later went on to own his own silk screen business, Lee Screen Process. On April 27, 1947 Gordon was united in marriage to Josephine H. (Shane) Graham, who preceded him in death in 2001 after 54 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by a son, Kim Graham and brother in-laws, Bob and Buck (Dorothy) Shane. Survivors include his daughter, Candy Chudik; sons, Scott (Jodi) and Shane (Helen) Graham; daughter in-law, Leslie Graham; grandchildren, Shayna (Danny) Homsi, Berit and Aaron (Mary) Graham, Sheila (Thomas) Jurgensmeyer, Jenee (Jimmy) Holaday and Nichole (Scott Schedivy) Graham; great-grandchildren, Owen and Maya Graham, Megan Jones, TJ Jurgensmeyer and Preston and Caroline Holaday; sister in-law, Sid Shane; nephews, Kip, Mike and Kenyon Shane and nieces, Kammy Vorva and Kathleen Easter. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park at a later date. A committal service with full military honors will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park - South, 3941 S. Westnedge Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49008.
