Landman, Gloria Shelbyville Gloria Ross Landman of Gun Lake, Michigan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 6, 2023, at the age of 91. All the friends and family who knew Gloria know that she lived a very full life, on her own terms, with a graceful and fierce determination. An elegant woman with a quiet spirit of generosity, Gloria was never one to call attention to herself or to point out her many kind gestures to others. Gloria was always quick to laugh and crack a witty joke. A woman of her word, Gloria was a confidante to many along her way. Her quiet dignity leaves a lasting legacy to her beloved husband, Rocky; her cherished sons, Bill (Marta) and Stephen Wilson; her stepchildren, Jill Alfond and Brad (Stacey) Landman; grandchildren, Pixie and Teddy Alfond and Keegan and Axton Postema. Gloria was the only daughter of Percy and Dorothy Ross, of Gun Lake. Gloria graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and maintained lifelong friendships from the class of 1949. She attended KVCC and Western Michigan University, where she was a member of the "Water Sprites" Synchronized Swimming team. Gloria enjoyed her career of 30 years at the Upjohn Company while simultaneously pursuing her higher education goals, earning her Master of Education degree in Human Resources. She went on to become the Director of Medical, Personnel, and Financial Affairs with the company. Her accomplishments within her communities speak for themselves, she was always quick to lend a hand and roll up her sleeves, with the Red Cross and Bronson Hospital. Gloria and Rocky were longtime members of the First Presbyterian Church in Kalamazoo. We offer our thanks to God for allowing us to have so many incredible years with her, a proud lady with a life well-lived. Gloria will be laid to rest next to her grandmother in Oak Hill Cemetery, Orangeville Twp. in a private graveside service. Those wishing to make a lasting gift in Gloria's memory are asked to remember Gun Lake Protective Association, in c/o the funeral home. Friends and family may leave a condolence message at www.joldersma-klein.com.
