Geraldine Hobbie

Hobbie , Geraldine Lawton Geraldine Rose Hobbie passed away March 6, 2017 at Bronson Hospital. She was born April 2, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois and was raised by her mother, Agnes Hyland. A Registered Nurse, Geri trained at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. She worked as a surgical and critical care nurse and nurse supervisor in several hospitals in the greater Chicago area, Corpus Christie, Texas, and southwest Michigan. In her retirement, Geri enjoyed swimming, bowling, cheering for the Cubs, and the company of her friends and her beloved dogs. Geri is preceded in death by her parents and her son Robert Inman. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Inman of Tucson, AZ; granddaughters Allysia (David) Higbee of Tucson, Sara Seltmann of Cassopolis, and Emily (Steve) Inman of Park Forest, IL; great grandsons Alex Bryant, Andrew Bryant, and Austen Seltmann of Cassopolis; and her neighbor Tamara Webster. A private celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Saint Margaret Mary Mission in Marcellus or SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
