Gerald Peters

Gerald Peters passed away at his home on Saturday, July 3, 2021. He was born February 8, 1937, in Kalamazoo, MI a son of Andrew and Belma (Little) Peters and had been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School. In 1957, Jerry went into business with his father who, in 1956, had bought part of what was to become Peters Auto Parts located in Texas Township, Kalamazoo County, MI. After his brother and his father passed away, he has been the sole owner of the business running it and never retiring. Jerry in days past loved to snowmobile, ride motorcycles, hunt, and enjoy other outdoor activities. On August 6th, 1955, Gerald married the former Sylvia Heller who preceded him in death on January 12, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Peters. Gerald is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Randy) Mack; son, Daniel Peters; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Private burial will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South.
