Genevieve Van Patten

Genevieve S. Van Patten of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 80. Genevieve was born August 9, 1936 in Pojoaque Valley, NM to the late Max and Feleciana (Romero) Salazar. She was united in marriage to Dale Van Patten on July 20, 1956. Genevieve is survived by her husband, Dale Van Patten; daughter, Patricia (Paul) Koestner; siblings, Jose Salazar, Maria Smith, Lucy (Ben) Roybal; sisters-in-law, Joyce Lawes and Carol Van Patten; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Riley. Genevieve was also preceded in death by a brother, Moises Salazar. The family will greet friends on Thursday, November 10th from 10-11:00am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 12648 East D Ave., Augusta, MI 49012, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00am. Following a luncheon, burial will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
