Genevieve Guritz

Genevieve Marie Guritz, 92, of Paw Paw, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday April 18, 2020 at her lifelong family home. She was born March 31, 1928 in Paw Paw, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Sechman. Genevieve enjoyed bowling and especially enjoyed playing her weekly card game with the girls. On, August 26, 1950 she married George Guritz who survives. She is also survived by her two daughters, Linda (Martin) Koziol and Darlene (Blaze) Barden; four step-grandchildren, Rachel Luscomb, Andy (Tammy) Koziol, Brand (Laura) Barden and Destine (Stephanie) Barden, five step-great grandchildren, Hanna Cassel, Jessica Cassel and Lucas Luscomb, Tyler (Alana) Barden and B.J. Barden. Genevieve was preceded in death by her brothers, Ron, Stanley, Mitch, John, Balter and Edward, two sisters, Florence and Lorraine. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 25, 2020, beginning at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 721 Pine St., Paw Paw. A memorial service will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ronald C. Moritz officiating. Interment will take place at the Wildey Cemetery in Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw or the American Cancer Society.
