Russell, Gaylord Harry 10/3/1931 - 9/5/2016 Kalamazoo MI Gaylord Harry Russell, 84 of Kalamazoo, passed away at his home the morning of September 5. Gaylord was born October 3,1931, in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Harry and Estelle Russell. He married Nancy Barnum on October 3, 1953. He retired from Hammond Roto Finish, where he worked for over 40 years. He enjoyed watching the wildlife from his living room window, as well as visits and calls from friends and family, especially his great-grandchildren, Sophia and Harjas Shinh. His companion for many years was his cat, Buddy.Gaylord is survived by his wife Nancy of 62 years; sons Mark (Melinda) Russell of Kalamazoo and Jeff Russell of Big Rapids. Grandsons Josh, and Jesse Russell, granddaughter Jenna (Sid) Shinh, and great-grandchildren Sophia and Harjas Shinh all of Kalamazoo, and a nephew Terry Livingston of Tehachenpi, California.He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Wanda Arcenue and Crystal Livingston.A Memorial Service will be led by family friend Steven K. Freel of Grand Rapids, on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 10 am at the Chapel in Mt. Everest Cemetery.Arrangements were provided by Redmond Funeral home.
