Allen, Gary D. 10/10/1962 - 9/4/2016 Portage, MI Gary D. Allen passed away Sunday 9/4/2016 at home surrounded by family. Gary was born in Kalamazoo, MI on 10/10/1962 to the late Wayman B. Allen (father) & Violeta Allen (mother) who survives. He graduated from Comstock High School and KVCC. He served in the Air Force. He loved working in the Television & Film Industry & local theater arts. He was passionate about making people's memories and preserving people's memories in his home based business Garbear Productions. He also loved meeting famous actors, going to concerts, and he loved his 2 cats. Gary made quick connections with people he met and developed many friendships all over. His witty ways and crazy ways made it easy for anyone to be around him, and he was always the life of the party. Also surviving is daughter Jennifer (Chad) Newcomb, sisters Natalie (Brian) Sziede, Andrea (Mark) Walsh, several nephews and nieces, and several great nephews and great nieces. A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm 9/16/2016 at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park South followed by a luncheon at the Kalamazoo Community Church in Comstock.
