Fr. Gary Pamment

Fr. Gary Pamment, aged 71, of Byron Center, died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; brothers and sisters, Fr. Duaine Pamment, Roger (Shirley) Pamment, Charles (Suzanna) Pamment, Melvin (Karen) Pamment, Linda (Danny) Weller, Patricia (Paul) Topping, David (Denise) Pamment, Robert Pamment; also several nieces and nephews. Fr. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Harold; sister, Christine. Fr. Pamment was ordained to the Priesthood on June 1, 1963 and had served at St. John Parish, Benton Harbor, St. Robert Parish, Flushing, St. Thomas Aquinas, East Lansing, St. Monica, Kalamazoo, St. John Bosco, Mattawan, St. Mary's Visitation, New Salem, St. Therese, Wayland, and SS Cyril & Methodius, Gun Lake. Fr. Gary retired August 6, 2003 and has been living in Byron Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Therese Church with the Most Rev. James A. Murray as celebrant. A Vigil Service will be held at St. Therese Church on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Thomas A. Martin presiding. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at St. Therese Church preceding the Vigil Service. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Lansing, at a later date.
