Floyd Decker, Jr.

Decker Jr., Floyd L. 1/22/1953 - 7/15/2017 Allegan Passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his home. Floyd was born January 22, 1953 in Allegan, the son of Floyd and Yvonne Decker and had lived in the Allegan area his entire life. Floyd had worked at Rockwell International until their closing then joined the Allegan County Sheriff Department where he worked until retirement. He and his late wife Cindy also owned and operated the Chicora Country Store. After retirement Floyd worked at the D. L. Miller Funeral Home for the past several years. Floyd enjoyed hunting, fishing and almost anything that would keep him outdoors. He loved to "tinker" with anything that had a motor and was a true do-it-yourself kind of guy. He loved spending time with family and friends especially his grandsons. Surviving is his son Floyd III (Sara); grandsons, Gabriel and Anson; siblings, Bob (Kimmy), Roger (Penny), Rhonda Blynn, James (Bonnie) Hoffman; special friends Barb and Gene Marr; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 42 years Cindy and his parents. Following his wishes cremation has taken place. The family will meet friends on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 11 AM until time of memorial service at 1 PM at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, Allegan.
