Florence Ross

Ross, Florence Paw Paw Florence Lula Ross, 82, of Paw Paw, passed away Monday March 15, 2021 at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born January 23, 1939 in East Chicago, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank Lula and Mary (Knapik) Anderson. Florence was an avid reader, she took pride in playing the organ, violin and accordion. She also enjoyed traveling. Florence was a member of the National Rural Letter Carriers Association and longtime parishioner at Saint Mary Catholic Church. On May 26, 1956, at Saint Mary Church, she married Bernard "Barney" Ross who passed away January 19, 2015. She is also survived by her four daughters, Denise (Frank) Lobody, Alli Ross, Tena (late Norman) Collins and Terri (Jimmy) Bryan; one son, Dennis (Lynn) Ross; sister, Vivian (Mike) Spiech; 12 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 16 great-grandchildren; and her canine companion and best friend, Heidi. Florence was preceded in death by her brothers, Fred Lula and Frankie Lula. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 21, 2021, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial will conclude at Saint Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be directed to Saint Mary School.
