Eunice Jane Green passed away at the age of 90 in Palm Beach Florida on October 31st, 2021. She was born July 15th, 1931 in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, the son of Frank and Nellie Knape. He had an older brother Ned and a younger brother Wayne. In her youth she enjoyed roller skating at the local rink near her home. She graduated from The University of Michigan, majoring in music performance and education. She met her future husband Charles Green there, who also was a music major. They married and started their life together in Tacoma, Washington where Charles was stationed when he joined the army. After the army they moved to New Jersey to begin Charlie's career in show business and her career in teaching piano and flute. As an accomplished pianist, Eunice would help Charles prepare for his singing gigs in New York, by rehearsing his songs while accompanying him on piano. By this time, they had two children, Jerri and David with Susan on the way. In 1968 the family moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan to join the Green family Terminix business there. In 1972 they moved to Gull Lake, Michigan and raised their family there. For years their adult children and grandchildren greatly enjoyed visiting them at Gull Lake in the summer. Eunice was active in the tennis and bridge community for many years, and helped raise a musical, athletic and academic family. Eunice and Chuck greatly enjoyed their family and valued each other's opinions, personality and talents. They retired in West Palm Beach, Florida. In the last years of their life, Charles suffered a stroke and Eunice committed herself to his care and rehabilitation. Even during these years, they still enjoyed making music together at the piano. Her efforts at caring for Charles remain as an enduring testament to their feelings for one another. They both passed in 2021. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter Jerri (Bruce) Crawford, and by her husband Charles Green, and survived by her son David (Cindy), and her daughter Susan (Berk) Nowak A private memorial service will be held in West Palm Beach, Florida.
