Eugene Elzinga, 83, of Zeeland, formerly of Allendale, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007. A member of North Blendon Reformed Church, he had worked for 30 years for Morley Brothers Dist. and retired from Allendale Public Schools. He and his wife were foster parents for 10 years with Bethany Christian Services and Blodgett Home. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances; children, Edward and Sandra Elzinga of Holland, and Sheryl and Jim Trolard of Pierson; two granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; in-laws, Joe and Ruth Rotman of Allendale, Ralph and Esther Rotman of Allendale, Jay Rotman of Grand Haven, and Ellna Rotman of Zeeland; nieces and nephews.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at North Blendon Reformed Church, 7224 Taylor St., Hudsonville.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Burial will be in Allendale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Holland.
